UBSPortal for portfolios

UBS came to Publicis Sapient with an interesting problem. High net worth individuals needed a place to understand their portfolio’s and manage them. UBS strides itself on privacy as a bank founded and rooted in Switzerland. We were asked to develop a prototype of a central hub in which a user could manage and understand how their portfolio was performing.

This helps employee’s of UBS advise their clients on how to make money work for their clients'.

Visual design

I was repsonsible for fleshing out the main UI elements for the visual design. Along with a full scale motion design, collaboration was easy as I have also worked as a motion designer on various projects.

Subtle colour combinations and tones were proven to be effective with this piece. Users needed to quickly understand data in order to understand their clients better. Wealth management is very complex and risky thing to manage.

Example of the folio showing how a user could connect with high net worth individuals of a similar calibre. Who in the clients network can help the portfolio grow and perform better.

This merged well with the look and feel we went for – aligning with UBS’s brand guidelines this visual approach worked the best after initial exploration. As a rule 3 directions are displayed to the client and on the whole one is picked, at times 2 are merged. But 3 has seemed to work out as a good number.
